Two contracts were signed for the construction of water & sewerage networks of Nea Aghialos of the municipality of Volos
On Tuesday, January 21st 2020, were signed the two contracts for the construction of the water and sewerage networks of Nea Aghialos, of a budget of 3 million euros approximately. The two contracts were signed between the Mayor of Volos, Mr. Beos and the Chairman and CEO of TEDRA Group, Mr. Tolios. Mr. Beos shared the view of the great importance of these two projects, since by their completion, Nea Aghialos, will have modern infrastructure to effectively meet the needs of the population and environmental protection, by offering significant added value to the development of the region. Mr. Tolios, highlighted the importance of keeping to the timetable of the projects, by saying that due to the excellent cooperation with the local community and the public services, within 10 months period of time (out of 30 months, which is the total project’s duration), the 65% of the total work of the project has been successfully implemented.
The signed contracts are related to the following projects:
Construction of pipelines of the sewerage network of Nea Aghialos of the municipality of Volos, of a budget of 1.600.000,00 €. This project, together with the construction of the sewerage network, a major project for the region which is currently running, is of great environmental importance for the public health as well as the local community. The project is about to be implemented within 24 months.
Management of water and sewerage netwroks of Nea Aghialos of the municipality of Volos, of total budget 1.450.000,00 €. The project aims to replace and install new 10,000-meter long water pipelines in order to modernize the drinking water distribution network in Nea Aghialos. Additional improvements will be also take place to the existent rainwater network of the settlement; in order to minimize the problems occurred by the extreme weather events. The duration of the project is 30 months.
